The procedure.

Treatment of sunken temples must be done by expert hands to try to avoid complications. There are several surgical and non-surgical procedures that, alone or in combination, are usually used by Dr. Villamarín to solve sunken temples: dermal fillers usually with hyaluronic acid, fat filler, energy-based procedures, facelift surgery and regenerative therapies.

For the non-surgical treatment of sunken temples due to age, Dr. Villamarín prefers the use of a specific and strategically inserted dermal filler, as well as the use of a special cannula for this area. Following the safety protocol specifically designed by Dr. Villamarín, whenever possible we use cannulas for the injection of any substance, be it anesthetic or a filler, instead of needles, to minimize the possibility of serious complications.

Temple fillers can also discreetly lift the surrounding areas of the face without the need for a surgical facelift. By restoring volume to sunken areas, the upper part of the face takes on a more rounded finish. Post-procedure care

After the procedure, we will begin medication and post-operative recommendations and you will be discharged for the initial discharge. Cold packs will be used to reduce swelling for the first two days after the procedure. Hilotherapy is an innovative thermal treatment that promotes healing in the postoperative period and that Dr. Villamarín optionally recommends after some of his procedures. There will be follow-up according to the protocol to control healing and ensure that all his questions are answered.

Recovery

Recovery is mainly related to swelling and in rare cases with small bruises. Recovery usually takes 2 days, depending on the procedures performed, and we recommend planning 2 days to recover.

Minor swelling continues to improve steadily in the days following the procedure. Exercise can be resumed 1 week after initial treatment, depending on the nature of the activity and the degree of inflammation involved.

What to expect from sunken temple removal without surgery?

How long will the result last?
